Overview

BACKGROUND

MOKO provides mobile technology solutions for automotive dealerships. MOKO delivers a leading management and communications mobile app platform that allows easily recognizable business branding to customers. Clients simply download the dealership app for free and have instant access to useful and relevant resources all on their mobile devices.

Problem Statement

It’s difficult for dealerships to be connected to their clients, and clients don’t typically respond well to the occasional promotional calls. Automotive dealerships are privately owned and each website varies vastly from one to the next. This leads to clients spending more time trying to find what they are looking for.

MOKO offers a solution by enabling dealerships to connect with their clients through a mobile app. This app empowers users to access vital dealership information and also permits dealerships to send messages and promotional offers directly within the app.

We partnered with Mini Ottawa to co-develop this app to be used at their location. Many of the user interviews and insights are gathered from individuals at that location.


Insights

WHAT USERS WANT

We interviewed both the dealership and end users to find exactly what type of information they would like to see. After compiling everyone's input, we developed a survey containing various options and requested participants to select their top five preferences. The selected categories included Profile, Courtesy Car, Dealership, News, and Inbox.

LESS IS MORE

Users wanted information displayed in an organized way. Many of them found dealership websites to be overwhelming, often filled with irrelevant information.

BRANDING

Users liked the idea of customized branding based on automotive brands. This approach delivers a more catered experience for the specific brand and the content can reflect each individual brand's guidelines.

Branding

Each mobile app is customized to their respective automotive branding. We used the Mini Branding guidelines to generate the styling for this app.
